Appropriations - Subcommittee on Education Chair:
Senator Lisa Carlton (R - Osprey)

"Senator Carlton and this committee will have the challenging task of addressing legislation that will fund all of the recent changes to public education. At times, this will be a cumbersome task, but she demonstrated her ability to solve tough funding problems as last year's full Appropriations chair and I know she will be just as successful in this role," said President King.

Other Senators appointed to the committee include: Michael Bennett (R - Bradenton), Anna Cowin (R - Leesburg), Alex Diaz de la Portilla (R - Miami), Les Miller (D - Tampa), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D - Pembroke Pines)

Education Committee

Education Chair: Senator Lee Constantine (R - Altamonte Springs)

"Most of the recommended changes and implementations for class sizes, pre-K, and other educational factors will flow through this committee. Over the years, Senator Constantine has proven his ability to handle tough situations, and I am counting on him to do the same on this committee," said President King.
